I truly thought this was a joke at first, but no, this is Donald Trump’s actual Christmas card, which he sent out to supporters and the media. I cannot stop laughing. First of all, Trump himself is an optical illusion in his tuxedo – just look at the white part of the image and tell me what you see. Balls and a shaft, right? And then the white Santa and reindeer spurting out of the top of Donald Trump’s head is… evocative, let’s say that.
The “ornaments” are pretty bonkers too. Barron isn’t included, because I guess Trump forgets about his youngest son. Ivanka’s “ornament” is placed before Melania’s ornament, almost like Trump forgets which one is his wife. Ivanka’s photo is a glamour shot, and Don Jr.’s is some selfie he posted on Instagram. It’s so… bad.
Then there’s the fact that he’s still using the presidential seal, and claiming that the card is being sent from “The Winter White House.” Meaning, Mar-A-Lago. During the actual Trump administration, Trumpers tried to make “the Winter White House” into a thing but no one was buying it. It makes even less sense now that Trump is out of office, in disgrace, and looking like an optical illusion bajingo.
Update: it’s fake! It was so hard to tell because it was exactly the kind of thing he would do.
